    Thank you for your interest in joining us as a volunteer tutor.

    This application will take roughly five minutes to complete. You won’t be able to save it during the process, so please make sure you have the time to complete it in one go. You will need to hand:

    • Your education history

    • Two character references (including contact details).

    Whilst this form is compatible with all devices and popular browsers, we find the easiest way to complete it is using a Google Chrome browser on either a laptop or desktop computer.

    To volunteer, you must -

    • Be aged 18 or over

    • Have a degree

    • Live in the UK

    • Be prepared to see your student for a weekly hour tutorial during term time, plus around 30 minutes of preparation each week

    • Agree to tutor for at least one academic year (holidays and occasional cancellations excluded)

    • Attend a tutor training session

    • Provide two people who we can approach for references. (We will also obtain an enhanced DBS check.)

    • Have good written and spoken English

    • Agree to receive The Access Project tutor newsletter and emails and texts about your role

    • Be studying for a degree and hold a grade B in the A Level subject you would like to tutor to a GCSE student

    • Be prepared to see your student for a weekly hour tutorial during term time, plus around 30 minutes of preparation each week

    • Attend a tutor training session

    • Provide two people who we can approach for references. (We will also obtain an enhanced DBS check.)
