The Charterhouse Charitable Trust has, for the third time, supported The Access Project by donating £5,000.

Supporting us since 2017

Since 2017, the Charterhouse Charitable Trust has donated £25,000 to The Access Project so that we can provide tuition and mentoring support to disadvantaged young people like Ayesha.

About Ayesha

Ayesha is in Year 12 in one of our schools in West Yorkshire.

She was not meeting her target grade at GCSE Maths and signed up to The Access Project. “Seven weeks. 15 tutorials. Two grades higher,” Ayesha told us proudly. “I couldn’t believe my eyes when I opened up my results on Results Day to see that I had jumped two whole grades just after seven weeks of hard work and determination.”

Ayesha is now studying for her A levels and is being tutored in Biology. She hopes to study Medicine at university.

“We’re so appreciative of the support…”

Nathan Sansom, Chief Executive of The Access Project, said: “We’re so appreciative of the support of the Charterhouse Charitable Trust once again. Trusts and foundations are enormously important in helping us raise the money needed to support our impactful programme.”

Tom Patrick, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charterhouse Charitable Trust, said: “Our Trust looks to support charities which help young people with a bias towards charities which provide mentoring or educational support. This makes The Access Project a great fit.”
