Sam Adams has been nominated as the top tutor at St Aloysius College, both by his tutee Olamide Oyewunmi and the school’s programme coordinator, Naomi Burley-Baker.
Naomi nominated Sam because of the excellent relationship he has built with his Olamide, she said: “Sam creates a really warm and friendly atmosphere during tutorials”.
Olamide said that Sam “always helps me to figure out the answer for myself” which is key for the learning and confidence of students. As a result of all the hard work from them both, Olamide is on track to get the grades to meet his offer to study Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham.
When Sam was told about the nomination, he said: “This is great news! To be honest, it has been great fun. It’s the best hour of my working week!”
Naomi saw how much Sam enjoyed tutoring his student and is certain this tangible enthusiasm has led to his excellent tutorials over the past year.
Thank you Sam, you really are a top tutor!
